TO ZIPPER OR NOT TO ZIPPER? (that is the question).

Before I started
this business, I read a lot of message boards about inflatables. And most of what I read always told me to get
inflatable units with zippers. Zippers are invaluable. So I have
never purchased a unit without one, and I have also
discovered the value of zippers.
So you are getting ready to purchase an inflatable. And you have
the option to dish out another $75.00 to add a zipper to you
unit. Or keep your $$$.
Here are five good reasons to get a zipper:
1) Faster deflation time.
2) Being able to go into the base of the unit and check the
integrity of vinyl and seams.
3) Being able to go into the base of the unit to place a patch.
Since patches placed inside the base of more secure and less
unsightly.
4) Being able to go into the base of the unit to mop up puddles and
trapped water,
after your inflatable has been rained on.
5) Being able to go into the base of the unit to clean up dirt,
leaf bits, and sand that has been drawn into the blower intakes
and into the inflatable. Yes, it happens. Even mischievous kids
think it is neat to watch sand and dry dirt being sucked up by
the handfuls, into the blower intake. (thank the parents that aren't watching
them.)
6) Being able to go into the base of the unit and being able to
wash and clean the inside vinyl; and to kill bacteria and get
rid of malodors.
This is of course, if you can fit through your zipper. And even
though you can fit through it. Make sure when you order your
units, that the area within the base in completely accessible
through the zipper. Since sometimes the base of inflatable is
sectioned off, and there are only air holes through a wall to allow air
flow. You might have to get a unit with more than one
zipper to make the base accessible.
The only good reasons to not get a zipper:
1) To save $$$.
2) Prevent abrupt deflation, while in use, by an unzipped zipper
which is only being
held by the velcro flap that goes over it. Making sure the
zipper is zipped before the velcro is in place will prevent this
from happening.
